here we go with todays photostudies. Again reeeally quick and just about colors, values and lighting. Kinda fun to see that they read real nicely this size, zooming in all the custombrush madness reveals itself just leaving a mess, I kinda really dig that, especially since it's the complete oposite to what I do at work

This actually feels so much better and just more like painting than all that organized hyper rendered stuff.

These are gorgeous, there's something very natural and powerful about these raw sketches. It's obvious that you really enjoy painting this way!

thanks a lot, yeah I just think that this way of painting is very "pure" in a way. I mean this is all that'S needed to convey shapes, lighting, atmosphere, and thus there shouldn't be more. every bit of additional rendering and fleshing out, no matter how much and how detailed, should always be subordinate to what these little sketches represent. I dunno, I am just starting to figure these things out myself but I strongly believe that this is teh way to go for me now
